FreePhoo converts your iPad to a phone. FreePhoo is a simple application which once installed on your iPad enables you to place phone calls. FreePhoo calls to other FreePhoo users are absolutely free while for a nominal charges you can make calls to other mobiles and landline phones.
You can make free calls to all your friends, family and anyone who has freephoo. And it doesn't matter where they are in the world. The application uses your 3G or WiFi-connection, so its recommend to have a fixed data plan. I guess you can use FreePhoo on your iPhone or iPod Touch as well. So you can make phone calls between iPad and iPhone or between iPad or iPod Touch!
After you install FreePhoo on your iPad, Double click on the freephoo icon and start calling. By using a 3G mobile network or a WiFi network the call is then routed over internet to the number you have dialed. Using freephoo means that you always call other freephoo users for free; if they are just around the corner or on the other side of the world doesn't matter. It's always free; no start fees, no minutes rates, no subscription periods or hidden terms.
Now comes FreePhoo premium, which allows calling normal mobile or landline phones. With Premium you do not only call all freephoo users for free. You can also call all fixed and mobile phones in 25 countries, and more countries will be added constantly.
Premium countries:
Australia; Austria; Belgium; Canada; Denmark; Egypt; Finland; France; Germany; Greece; India; Iran; Iraq; Ireland; Netherlands; Norway; Poland; Portugal; Spain; Sweden; Switzerland; Thailand; Turkey; UK; USA.

I'm happy to see that Belgium is in the premium countries, because I need to call to Belgium very often. I'll try it indeed.
I downloaded freephoo from the App store and have been using it for over a month now and I'm quite happy with the call quality and overall ease of use. I plan to purchase freephoo premium shortly so that I can use it for all my voice calls.
does anybody have an idea whats going on with my freephoo app....? seems like im the only one who cant get it to work.... i have not yet experienced the "ready" signal.... did yours work right after installing the app?
I have started using Freephoo recently and am really impressed. By using this apps, i have turned my little iPad into a communicative device and can talk to my friends and family spead in different parts of the world. i do not get charged a single penny while calling another Freephoo user, where as standard charges are applicable for others. I say its worth giving a try. you can check out their website, freephoo.com.
staying away from home used to make me feel sick, but not any more thanks to Freephoo. This new apps on my iPad allows me to call my family back in France for free. its userfriendly and the quality of calls is pretty good. I am looking forward to use freephoo premium to get in touch with my friends, who are not on Freephoo. ....Wonder how will these calls be charged?

I have got news... Freephoo has reached Greece, Portugal, Spain and Turkey as well. As these countries are a part of their premium group calls can be made to any land or mobile numbers here for a very reasonable price.
I love freephoo as well simply because its a hassle free app. I need not go through the trouble of waiting for it to install. Its quick, simple and of good quality.
I like Freephoo for its clarity. No matter where i am, this app enables me to make calls as it works on both 3G and WiFi. During the call there is hardly any disturbance or call drop. Freephoo people really deserve credit for this.
The first experiment was to try Freephoo on my iPad and i am so happy to tell you that it was successful. I use it so very often coz i do not have to spend anything while talking to my friends. The next phase of experiment is to try the Premium pack. A friend of mine is planning to subscribe it... wish him luck!
Go Freephoo go........
We in our friends' group tried its Premium pack and its really good. Voice breaking and disturbance was hardly there. We are eager to know what new countries will be added to the list.
Freephoo is my favorite voip app for my iPad. its really a very useful and simple app. It took me no time to get used to it and since then i am using it regularly to stay connected to my friends. As the calls to members are free, it helps me save some good amount of money. Compatibility to 3G and WiFi is a great quality.
